What does Just busk do?
Just busk is an evolving social directory which helps you connect, trade and share with like-minded music fans, professionals, bands and companies worldwide.
How much does it cost to use Just busk?
It’s 100% free to register – that includes full use of the site with no attempts to up-sell later on!
What do you mean Just busk is evolving?
Just busk is developing every day. What began as a simple idea to introduce an online directory has become a complete social experience which can literally revolutionize the music industry. Our vision is to work closely with our members to develop the site in a way which benefits us all. We believe that in better understanding what people want for this industry, we can continuously improve the network and overall experience unlike anybody else.
What new features will be released?

Why are there 4 different member types? What is the difference?
We all have a part to play in the music industry, that is why we offer 4 member types – Fan, Professional, Band and Company.
Each member type has been designed to specifically suit the needs of that particular user.
- Fan – If you are a person who loves music, have your own tastes and opinions but do not have a career in music, then the Fan member type is for you. Music fans use Just busk to discover and listen to new music, keep in touch with artists they like, make new friends, share the interests and opinions which matter to them, and so much more.
- Professional / Band- For those individuals who love music but also have a career in the music industry, the Professional member type is for you. Professionals are music fans too, but also use Just busk to advertise themselves, find and share opportunities, network and build relationships, seek feedback, share interests and opinions which matter to them, and possibilities continue.
- Band – Any ensemble of people performing music together as a collective should use the Band member type. Bands use Just busk to advertise themselves, find and share opportunities, network and build relationships, seek feedback, share interests and opinions which matter to them, and it doesn’t stop there.
- Company- If you are incorporated as a business and offer music related services then the Company member type is for you. Companies use Just busk to advertise themselves, find and share opportunities, network and build relationships, better understand their consumers and more.
Can I search for other members?
Yes, on the Members page you can search all members using general search criteria. You can also perform an advanced search by choosing one of the four member types. The member type specific searches enable you to search users by granular detail, so you can quickly find exactly what you need. Whats more, the criteria options will continuously evolve over time to make your searches easier.
Why are there friend and follow/following options?
Friend requests are for people you know personally and have a relationship with outside of Just busk. The Friend, Follow and Following features are designed to be used differently and will become far more relevant as Just busk evolves. Follow/Following allows you to connect with other members because you want to stay in touch or re-visit again later. Think of it this way – because you follow the work of favourite bands, that doesn’t necessarily make you friends, does it?
Can I upload my own media to Just busk?
Yes. Users with the Fan member type can upload pictures and videos to their profile. Professionals, Bands and Companies can upload pictures, videos and music to their profiles. We also encourage members to edit their music uploads and tag the profiles for those who are involved in that musical piece. If those members are not on Just busk than you can quickly and easily invite connections via the left sided menu.
Why can I not upload music to my profile?
All member types can upload music except Fans. Due to issues with copyright law this functionality was restricted to reduce the risk of copyright infringements. If you are a Professional, Band or Company with this problem please contact us by emailing email@example.com and we will look into your issue. If you are a Fan with your own music to upload then you have likely chosen the incorrect member type.
Why should I tag members to my music?
If you tag the people you worked with on your music then other people will be able to find them. If they do the same for you then other people will be able to find you too. Doing this makes it much easier for other members to find you on Just busk and that will inevitably present you with more opportunities. You can tag members by editing the item after it has been uploaded.
What does ‘set primary’ mean for my music uploads?
If you have uploaded music to your profile and you set one of these audio files as primary then it will be available to listen to from the members page where users search.
Why is my question not here?
Just busk was only launched on Wednesday 21st December 2016 so we may not have been asked your question yet. If you have any issues, please feel free to contact us by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
